Looking for the next baby step to improve your health? Work on eradicating inflammatory oils from your diet. Inflammation is the root of disease.
Where do we usually find these oils? Fried foods and most store bought salad dressings are made with cheap inflammatory oils like soy, vegetable, or canola. Salad dressings are simple to make and keep for weeks in the fridge. Making your own ensures healthy ingredients. Flavor options are limitless. Tuesday, June 2 at noon central time, I’ll teach a mayonnaise and salad dressing class via Zoom. Reply to this email to sign up ($35).
Still openings for tomorrow’s knife skills class ($20) at noon, central time. This is a great class for anyone and would be a fun class to take with an older child(ren). Are you kids like mine in that they accept instruction better from other people? :)
Next week’s kombucha class filled up fast!
Recipes
Have you tried the bread omelette that’s taking the internet by storm? I made one; it’s yummy especially with cheese in the middle. I need a few more iterations to perfect it.
My husband has taken over making breakfast during quarantine. His usual is scrambled eggs, frozen hash browns, and maybe toast. He surprised us last week by actually following a recipe for French Baked Toast with Cream and Eggs. I loved it. The kids were not impressed.
Turnips and radishes are plentiful this time of year. Especially if you are participating in a FarmShare program. Check out this Miso Maple Roasted Roots recipe.
The Good Clean Sun Event
Choose a FREE FULL-sized summer skin essential when you spent $125 site wide on Beautycounter products. One of the gifts is a body lotion I use daily.
Sweeten the deal and become a Band of Beauty Member. It's like Amazon Prime for Clean Beauty. You get free shipping on orders over $100 + 10% credit towards your next order + free gift with annual payment of $29. This month the gift is a wonderful facial mist. Even if I weren't a consultant, I would tell you to be a BoB Member. It's a good deal.
This week a new foundation was launched in 18 shades(!) called Skin Twin. It has greater coverage and better buildability than the previous formula. If you’re in the market for a new foundation, there’s a shade finder here.
The 20% off discount code (screamin’ deal!) is still available through the end of May for first time Beautycounter customers. I have samples of several things if you want to try before buying. Reach out and let me help.
Memorial Day
Usually I’m super excited heading into Memorial Day because it’s the culinary kickoff for summer. This year feels weird for many reasons but especially because our neighborhood pool isn’t opening…yet. Let me know what yummy recipes you try this weekend!
